[rbldnsd] whitespace needed to separate A and TXT pair?

I should probably just read the source code, but can anyone tell
me if whitespace is needed or considered good or bad style for
dnset and ipv4set to separate domains/IPs from specifc A and TXT
records?

In other words, which is better?

  example.com :127.0.0.5:Some text here
             ^ deliberate space here
or:

  example.com:127.0.0.5:Some text here
