[rbldnsd] Newbie install question

Thanks for those links.
  They say what is needed in a generic sort of form. I am looking at 
something a little more specific as to what is recommended for each OS. 
Which it runs under and which it doesn't (Win32, OS-X, OS-2 ?), which 
need compiling, which have packages available etc.
