[rbldnsd] Gentoo?

That's what I figured.  So then I did the ;

Jul 19 06:06:03 bambi named[16675]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -u named -n 2
Jul 19 06:06:03 bambi named[16675]: loading configuration from
'/etc/bind/named.conf'
Jul 19 06:06:03 bambi named[16675]: /etc/bind/named.conf:197: expected
quoted string near '/'
Jul 19 06:06:03 bambi named[16675]: loading configuration: unexpected
token
Jul 19 06:06:03 bambi named[16675]: exiting (due to fatal error)

So then we used the " " and the ;

Aka : Include "/path/to/my/stuff";

And it worked. So now its time to incorporate this into my email
system.

For the record I do thank you folks.

Thanks in advance
Steve Mosher

Ar, Sorry. That was a cut-n-paste typo in the tutorial. <sheepish grin
/>
Apologies and Thank You for finding it.

the ; should be at the end of the line.

Amos,

In /etc/conf.d/rbldnsd we have ..

RBLDNSD="- -r/etc/rbldnsd -b127.0.0.3 \
        blacklist.zone:ip4set:datafile.txt
"

This needs to be changed to

OPTIONS="-r/etc/rbldnsd -b127.0.0.3 \
        blacklist.zone:ip4set:datafile.txt
"

Jul 18 06:13:36 bambi rbldnsd[28535]: listening on 127.0.0.3/53
Jul 18 06:13:36 bambi rbldnsd[28535]: ip4set:datafile.txt: 20060717
131440: e32/24/16/8=1/0/0/1
Jul 18 13:13:36 bambi rbldnsd[28535]: zones reloaded, time 0.0e/0.0u
sec, mem arena=132 free=12 mmap=0 Kb
Jul 18 13:13:36 bambi rbldnsd[28535]: rbldnsd version 0.996 (19 Feb
2006) started (1 socket(s), 1 zone(s))

Now it starts.

There seems to be an issue with the Include line in named.conf.

Jul 18 06:00:02 bambi named[27052]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -u named -n 2
Jul 18 06:00:02 bambi named[27052]: loading configuration from
'/etc/bind/named.conf'
Jul 18 06:00:02 bambi named[27052]: /etc/bind/named.conf:197: expected
quoted string near '/'
Jul 18 06:00:02 bambi named[27052]: loading configuration: unexpected
token
Jul 18 06:00:02 bambi named[27052]: exiting (due to fatal error)

So I shoved in some ""

Jul 18 06:02:44 bambi named[27164]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -u named -n 2
Jul 18 06:02:44 bambi named[27164]: loading configuration from
'/etc/bind/named.conf'
Jul 18 06:02:44 bambi named[27164]: /etc/bind/named.conf:199: missing
';' before end of file
Jul 18 06:02:44 bambi named[27164]: loading configuration: failure
Jul 18 06:02:44 bambi named[27164]: exiting (due to fatal error)

This is where I'm stuck at. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Steve Mosher
