[Avcheck] avcheck slower than amavisd-new?

Hi all,

There is a discussion going on at the postfix's mailing list and Ralf
Hildebrandt sent a link,

about site-wide SpamAssassin installation. He mentioned at the end, quote:

On a normal day, this machine easily handles 25.000 Mails with a load of
0.80.
If we were to drop avcheck in favor of an integration of kavdaemon into
amavisd-new, we could increase performance even more.

Turns out that a big program like amavisd-new is faster than avcheck? True?
