I use sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org , but not rsync. My volumes are low, so no big
deal. Rsync is available from Spamhaus for a fee. It is quite conservative.
Very few false positives. Until recently I also used dnsbl.sorbs.net (rsync,
it's free ... so far). Sorbs is quite aggressive and occasionally blocks
hotmail and yahoo ip addresses which is a bit annoying. Since dropping Sorbs I
have noticed more spam getting through. I feel Sorbs is ideal for use as a
greylist. The guy who runs Sorbs (Matthew Sullivan?) seems to readily
communicate issues. I've seen good and bad written about him. He seems ok to
me.

that I have not liked about it was that it did not have an rbldns format so
I have to convert it once I transfer it, lots of thanks to the people on
this list for the help with that, but now that trend micro has bought them
they no longer want to support transferring the zone from them they want to
go to a query only method. We process well over 5 million messages per day
so this does not seem ideal to me as far as performance goes. I am curious
as to what RBLs people on this list are using and how they like what they
have. I am not worried about having to pay for a list, as we see this way
to valuable of a service to go with what is free as to what is best.
Please let me know what you guys like.
